Weaving Stories is based on a conversation with my mother the year before she died. I found the notebook I had used on my weekly visits recently and remembered the happy Saturdays we spent reminiscing. She, my father and their siblings all worked in the mills in and around Galashiels and stories she told were entertaining and colourful as the Tweed they produced. The monotone colour of the knitted artwork is based around the colour of my mother’s wedding china.
