What We Become

I drew from my past career as a Librarian working with groups unable to access the public library.

The Process started with the book created in Cornton Vale with a Reader in Residence, Lisa Ballantyne. From one of the powerful poems a series of artworks depicting deterioraion was created.

A series of artworks based on deterioration.

Cyanotype tone and free motion embroidery technique gave a ripped effect of one of the poems from the book ‘What We Become’.

The third piece was a near perfect poem and a found vintage lace collar to give the overall effect of coming full circle to an almost perfect reformed life.
